Dear Parents and Students,
It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you to St. John Fisher Junior Elementary School for the 2020-21 school year! I look forward to getting to know all the new students and parents on our journey together.
I will be continuing to work on new initiatives and pursuing longstanding traditions that have become a part of what makes St. John Fisher Jr. an incredible school (caring for the environment, peaceful school initiative, Holiday concert to name a few). Through it all, it is my belief that we should be teaching and modeling the values of honesty, kindness, compassion and empathy.
I am looking forward to seeing you all when school starts on August 31st. It should be noted that due to the COVID-19 pandemic our school entry procedure will be changed this year to have as much social distancing as possible. It will be a free entry to the building from 8:00 – 8:10 a.m. No free play and no lining up at the 8:10 a.m. bell. Designated area for entering the school will be identified for each grade level; students' safety being our priority as always. Staff will be posted at different doors to let the students in as of 8:00 a.m. As for recess, we are looking to have students in different areas of the school in order for them to socially distance themselves from each other (more details will be shared with the SJF community and will be accessible on our website in due time).
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns (email@example.com). Together we will create a safe and caring school where mutual respect is paramount.
On behalf of the St-John Fisher Jr. team, I wish you an exceptional school year!
